Kirtan Training Weekend Intensive
with Brent Kuecker & Sheela Bringi
Experience the roots of the ecstatic tradition of Kirtan.
Learn to chant, lead, play and sing with joy, power, and confidence.
In this training we will explore:
- the deeply relaxing and rapturous melodies of Indian music
- traditional Vedic chanting and pronunciation of mantras
- beginning-level Indian and western music theory
- playing harmonium and other instruments for kirtan (bring your own instrument; several harmoniums will be available)
- rhythm and tempo changes
- deities, myth, and mood – The Yoga of Devotion
Dates/times:
Saturday, Aug 1st: 1 – 6:30 p.m.
Sunday, Aug 2nd: 12 – 5:30 p.m.
Cost:
$108 for Sat only / $95 early sign-up (paid by July 21)
$180 for both days / $160 early sign-up (paid by July 21)
Cost includes Friday night (July 31) concert at Inspire Studio at 7:30pm
